How to Take Your Measurements

Welcome to Xavier Regin Custom Tailoring!

To ensure the perfect fit for your custom-made garments, it's essential to provide accurate body measurements. Follow these guidelines to measure yourself correctly:

  1. Use a Tailor's Tape Measure: This flexible tape allows for easy measurement around curves and edges. If you don't have one, a non-stretchy string and a ruler can work in a pinch.
  2. Wear Fitted Clothing: To get the most accurate measurements, wear tight-fitting clothing or undergarments only.
  3. Stand Naturally: Stand in a relaxed posture, with your feet shoulder-width apart. Do not flex or tense your muscles while measuring.
  4. Measure Twice: For accuracy, measure at least twice to ensure the numbers match.
  5. Seek Assistance: If possible, have someone help you with the measurements, especially for hard-to-reach areas.
  6. Record Your Measurements: Write down each measurement as you go to avoid forgetting or mixing them up.

Body Measurement Guide:

  • Neck: Measure around the base of your neck, where a collar sits.
  • Shoulder: Measure from one shoulder point to the other at the back.
  • Chest: Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, under your armpits.
  • Waist: Measure around your natural waistline, which is typically just above the belly button.
  • Hips: Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips.
  • Sleeve Length: Bend your elbow and measure from your shoulder point, down to your wrist.
  • Wrist: Measure around your wrist bone.
  • Bicep: Measure around the fullest part of your bicep with your arm relaxed.
  • Length (for jackets, shirts, etc.): Measure from the base of the back of your neck down to the desired length.
  • Inseam (for pants): Measure from the crotch down to the bottom of your ankle.

Remember, the more precise your measurements, the better the fit of your custom-tailored garment!
